what’s reality?

santa claus does exist, but isn’t real. reality is smaller than existence, but the value of money is also not real… physics is what defines what’s real. like coins or printed paper. right?

be real with what you think for.

or was it be careful with what you wish for?

and what does it mean to “really want” something?

could it be our rudimentary way to predict the future, by using our little understanding of reality?

and is reality our shared perception of existence, that only exists while there’s enough people to perceive it? have the tree fallen on the forest if there’s nobody to hear it? have the egg really came before the chicken? 🐔

is the physical reality created by the big bang and set in deterministic motion with this ultimate force that can not be changed by our perception, really our reality?

paradoxally, i like to say yes to all those questions. and the ones below.

world word

isn’t the world always the ontological one (the “world of an individual”), the material or the profane sphere, as opposed to the celestial, spiritual, transcendent or sacred spheres (“end of the world” scenarios refer to the end of human history)?

the word in itself comes from latin mundus, literally “clean, elegant”, itself a loan translation of greek cosmos “orderly arrangement”. there’s also the mythological notion “domain of man”, presumably as opposed to the divine sphere on the one hand and the chthonic sphere of the underworld on the other, the greco-latin term expresses a notion of creation as an act of establishing order out of chaos. or at least that’s what my adaptation from wikipedia says.

be selfish

perhaps the biggest victory of industrialization was making us realize “society” never was a zero sum game to begin with. there’s at least one possibility for “making the #world better”. but… what other #real choices do we have?

again, ahoxus! 😁😘🍑

is this still a draft?
